Ultra-Premium Horween® Hides + Your Personalized Build Instructions + My Experience and Attention to Detail = A Strap to be Enjoyed for Years.
The first thing you'll likely notice is that there are no drop down menus or "add to your cart" options.  It's always been my belief that the more I know about the watch a strap is intended for, and how it will be worn by the owner, the further it can be customized and tailored for the best fitment.  This is true not only for your watch, but for your wrist.  For example:  A strap for a watch with a 46mm diameter case and 22mm lug width will wear much differently than one with a 42mm diameter case, that happens to share the same 22mm lug width.  A detail like this is why an e-mail or phone call is mutually beneficial and the best way for both of us to achieve our desired results, particularly when it comes to tailoring.  For your convenience, a phone number and e-mail address can be found at the bottom of every page.

First, select the premium Horween® hide that appeals to you most.  Next, go through this checklist and consider the following while thinking about your new handmade strap:

1.  Wrist Measurement:  Although it is not mandatory, your wrist measurement (in inches or cm) can be very helpful.  Knowing the size of your wrist will not only help me suggest a strap length, but it will also enable me to strategically place your adjustment holes for a more tailored fit.  For example:  I would like to get you set up with 5 holes in total.  Using your wrist measurement, I will do my very best to place you in position #3 most often.  This will put you in the middle of the row, as well as leaving you with two options in either direction.  As you can see, your wrist measurement can be very helpful in offering you the best fitment.  I don't particularly like the look of "one strap fits most", where there are 7 or 8 unnecessary holes punched in otherwise beautiful leather.

That said, if I do not have your wrist measurement, I will hand punch 5 holes in these positions - each  having a dead center from the lug end where it attaches to the watch:  50, 57, 64, 71, 78mm

2.  Length and Width:  Now that you know your wrist measurement, you can either ask for my assistance in selecting a strap length, or simply refer to the sizing chart toward the bottom of this page.  Select the length that you prefer and the width your watch requires.  I am currently offering 18x18mm, 19x19mm, 20x20mm, 21x21mm, 22x22mm, 23x23mm, 24x24mm, and 26x26mm straps in any length.  Just ask if you are in need of a width other than these.

Important Note:  Providing me with an accurate lug width is critical.  I don't have special access to this, as most manufacturers do not reference lug widths on their Websites and vintage models can be particularly obscure.  If there is any doubt, simply measure the inside lug width with a ruler - and it MUST be in millimeters.  Please do not take online forum discussions as being 100% conclusive. If I am given incorrect information about the lug width, the finished strap may not fit properly.  Therefore, I need to rely upon you for accurate information.  As an example, if I'm told the lug width of your watch is 22mm and it turns out to be  21mm, expect it to not fit as we would both like - if at all.  A custom strap built on misinformation is really the only thing I will not be responsible for.  So, please, take just a few moments to confirm the lug width with a ruler if there is even the slightest bit of doubt.

3.  Stitch Color:  Consider the 16 different stitch colors from which to choose, which can all be found near the bottom of this page.  The most popular colors right now are:  Vintage Patina, Titanium, Bronze, Natural, Black, and White.

4. Edge Finishing:  All edges (sides) will be hand burnished.  From there you can choose to leave them Raw/NaturalStained Black, Stained Brown. or Stained Burgundy.

5. Keepers (loops):  How do you like your keepers?  1 sewn in and 1 floating1 wide sewn in?  Constructing a strap with a sewn in keeper is the most difficult and time-consuming, but it's also "standard equipment" on a Europelli Handmade strap.  Why?  Because I believe it's the right way to do it. Consider having a single keeper cut slightly wider and having that sewn in.  It's just as functional, yet reduces bulk on the underside of your wrist. However, if you prefer an alternative, just let me know what it is and consider it done.  My goal is to make it the way YOU want it!

6.  Buckles: If you are in need of a buckle, there are several from which to choose and they can all be found toward the bottom of this page.

Screw Type buckles secure to your strap with a machined screw, and can be transferred from one strap to the next.  Screw Type buckles, are on sale for $25 with a strap purchase.  They are available two different styles:  Pre-V and Ardillon (thumbnail) shapes.

Sewn In buckles are also available with the Pre-V shape.  A Sewn In buckle will be a permanent part of the strap and cannot be removed.  There are also some subtle design differences, as these have a more historic feel.  Sewn In buckles are on sale for $20 with a strap purchase.

Spring Bar buckles are available with the Ardillon or Thumbnail shape.  These attach with a simple spring bar, and are on sale for $9.

7.  Special Treatments:  Hand burnished and sealed sides will be part of every strap I build.  However, there are a few optional treatments that can dramatically enhance the appearance of your strap.  Flame toasted top edges and/or keepers, as well as our special "JV" Distressing treatment are a few to consider.  The end result is pretty spectacular!  This is where you can truly create your one-of-a-kind strap.  These treatments are usually best on leathers such as Natural Tan Baseball Glove or Dark Tan Chromexcel.

It's not just another watch strap.  It's a strap just for you.
The Foundation of Quality Begins With The Finest Hides:  Horween
Every single hide I offer from the Custom Handmade section originates from one of the world's finest tanneries:  Horween Leather Co.

One significant advantage I have over competitors is based on my close proximity to Horween Leather Co.  They are a 5th generation family owned tannery, based in Chicago for 105 years.  Every single hide I offer within the handmade section has been personally hand-selected by myself, with the firm belief that the foundation of quality MUST begin with the finest leather money can buy.

There will never be an exception to this rule, so take great pride in knowing your finished strap originated from genuine Horween crafted leather.
Professional Baseball Glove Leather - LAST CALL on Natural Tan
The exact same leather that is used by the world's leading professional baseball glove manufacturers to produce both first baseman's and catcher's gloves.  It is truly difficult to obtain, particularly when compared to all of the so-called military inspired "Ammo" straps that are in seemingly endless supply.

Absolutely incredible in person, the look, feel, and color are simply outstanding.  And if you are looking for a strap that will develop a beautiful patina, just think about what a catcher's glove looks like after it's been well-worn.

Just like a new baseball glove, the Natural Tan leather will require some breaking in.  With time and wear, it will become increasingly softer and more supple.  Black, on the other hand, has been tumbled and will offer supreme comfort immediately.

The thickness of a Professional Baseball Glove strap is approximately 5mm.  If you prefer something thinner and want to stay within a similar color family, consider Bourbon or Dark Tan Chromexcel.  These two leathers will also be more supple and do not require the same breaking in.

This is the Last Call for the Natural Tan Professional Baseball Glove leather.  It will soon be replaced with a different, yet equally dynamic Horween leather.

Welcome to Europelli Handmade
Your vision and creativity.  Amazing leathers, craftsmanship, outstanding value, and dedication to you.  That's what a Europelli 100% Custom Handmade strap is all about.

As I mentioned, each strap is 100% handmade.  There is no machinery involved whatsoever.  Each stitch hole is hand punched and each stitch is hand sewn using the very best and old-school method of saddle stitching - as opposed to an inferior lockstitch that a sewing machine is limited to.  Each strap is hand burnished, hand skived, and each keeper is made (both adhered and stitched) for the strap it is destined for, thus ensuring the proper fitment.  My "standard equipment" strap has nearly 50 different legitimate steps within the crafting process and a typical length strap has over 6 feet of cord, requiring 105 individual hand stitches.

The hides, cord (stitching), and tools I use are the best of the best.  All of the leathers I use for my handmade straps are produced by one of the finest tanneries in the world, Horween Leather Co., located in Chicago and an hour from myself.  Each and every hide is hand selected, never ordering from a mere swatch.  It's my belief that you absolutely must begin with a superior foundation, the leather itself, if you want to craft a world-class finished product.

The stitching that will be used in your strap has anti-fray, anti-fade, and high tensile strength qualities.  The precision hand tools I use are made by the finest in the leather industry:  Weaver, Al Stohlman, and C.S. Osborne & Co.  The special cobbler's adhesive used is permanent, flexible, and waterproof.

While some of the above information may be more than you require, I believe each individual component plays an integral role in the recipe for the final product and your overwhelming satisfaction.

There are no shortcuts to quality.  Ever.

What's different about a Europelli Custom Handmade Watch Strap?
The Finest Leathers Anywhere.  Detailed Craftsmanship.  Hand Saddle Stitching.  World-Class Customer Service with Phone Consultations.
It's my hope that you'll find my strap unique in several ways.  First, I don't think you would look at one of my straps and confuse it with one made by someone else.  Not that some others don't make a fine strap, there are several who are outstanding at what they do - and I commend them for that.  However, it's the construction method and the styling I've chosen that I think you'll find distinctive  - and complimentary to the Panerai  and other luxury sport watch style I specialize in.

A Europelli Handmade strap will most certainly make a handsome addition to your luxury sport watch, regardless of its historic or contemporary nature.  Today's timepieces are much more refined than the watches produced years ago.  However, many collectors still long for an attachment to their rustic and historic roots.  Essentially, many want to remain harmonious with their original DNA.  My handmade straps make perfect sense in that respect, as well as others.

My straps are refined, but not overly so.  They are not dressy, nor are they strictly vintage looking - although I have a few treatment methods that can achieve that look perfectly.  Your personal instructions on how to craft the strap will help create the look you desire.  If you request something that I just don't feel comfortable with, I'll let you know and then suggest some alternatives.

Saddle stitching by hand:  The time-honored benchmark for stitching of any kind.  I can't stress enough how important this is to adding both strength and character to the finished piece.  Saddle stitching by hand requires several things:  Over 6 feet of cord in your average length strap, two harness needles, two hands, a keen eye, and...frankly...lots of time.  What's so great about a saddle stitch?  As mentioned, it offers both strength and character.  First, the stitching won't unravel if one were to be cut like a lockstitch provided by a sewing machine.  Secondly, it is a much stronger stitch by nature which is why it has become the gold standard for all things handmade - yet seldom used because of the time associated with it.  Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, it adds character to the finished piece.  It's not perfect, yet it is not flawed.  Each strap will vary slightly from one to the other, making each a one-of-a-kind in its own subtle way.  A double needle hand saddle stitch offers a very unique look that is utilized on very few products in this day and age that have given a nod to machine stitching and faster production.  This time-consuming method of stitching plays an incredibly vital role in crafting an item that is distinctively made by human hands.  So, how does one identify a strap that was stitched by machine?  The top stitch is usually at a slight angle, and almost always a much thinner more fragile thread is used on the underside.  If a product claims to be 100% handmade, yet machine stitched, know that at least one compromise has been made - including their definition of 100%.

Are there any downsides to a hand saddle stitch?  No, although an experienced operator of a machine can sew a strap in about 90 seconds compared to about 45 minutes when saddle stitching by hand.  However, there's the pride in ownership and the pride in craftsmanship factor that can't be denied.

Everyone wins.

"First, let me say that I can't believe my straps arrived so quickly!  The three baseball glove straps I ordered and received yesterday are nothing short of perfection.  I'm serious.  I probably have 35 straps that I've acquired over the past few years from various strap makers...none of which compare to these in terms of overall quality and attention to detail, including my build instructions.  I love the different treatments you offer...so cool.  These are just extraordinary, they're exactly what I've been searching for, and you can bet that I'll be back for more.  Thanks so much...working with you has been a wonderful pleasure and it's made me get excited about straps all over again!"

"Just a quick note to let you know that the straps arrived today and they look great!  The high quality of materials and workmanship stand out clearly.  In a time when mass-produced, cookie cutter garbage designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator are the norm, it's nice to know that some people still care enough to achieve excellence . . .   I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Thanks again and best regards,"

"Just wanted to inform you that my straps arrived yesterday.  Thank you for such exquisite straps!  Even my original IWC Portuguese leather straps is no match.  I'm really amazed by the details, the stitching is so neat.  Side burnish also adds character.  Wonderful!!!!  Really wonderful piece of art.  I will definitely order more from you in the future!

Best Regards,"

Horween® Genuine Chromexcel®
Exceptionally Supple and Beautiful.  High-Strength Durability.  The Original Pull-Up Leather, made Exclusively by Horween®

Chromexcel is a leather exclusive only to Horween, and uses a proprietary recipe that was developed by them 100 years ago.  1913 to be exact.  The beauty of Chromexcel extends beyond its exterior.  It combines two unusual properties seldom found in one leather:  High-strength durability and a buttery soft and supple hand.  How does that translate into our world?  It's the perfect foundation for a watch strap.

Here is a little history regarding this rare leather:  Horween Chromexcel is the original pull-up leather.  "Pull-up" refers to the temporary lightening of the leather within a fold, caused by the displacement of oils and waxes.  It offers beautiful character, and is the result of a combination bark retannage and hot stuffing.  What's required to make it?  A minimum of 89 steps, 28 full working days, and the utilization of all 5 floors at Horween.  Oh, and the closely guarded recipe that they've become well-known for and have used for a century.

It is, indeed, a very special leather that's held in high regard within the industry and consumers for many reasons.  There are several different types of Chromexcel leathers, and I have several different varieties in stock and available to work with.  Colors within those varieties include:  Dark Tan, Natural, Bourbon, and Vintage Crosshatch.  You'll find a Chromexcel strap on one of my watches at all times, and I can't encourage you enough to treat yourself to one as well.

Ultra-Premium Horween® North of Cordovan Horsehide
Genuine Shell Cordovan and Chromexcel® are two of the most coveted leathers available.  This rare example offers the best of both worlds.

Rather than being made from cow hide, this is made from the portion that connects and is just above the two shells found on the hindquarter of a horse.  Hence the name "North of Cordovan" - and this is one very special leather.

This rare leather literally combines the finest attributes from both Shell Cordovan and Horween's proprietary Chromexcel® tanning process.  It offers astounding depth and richness of color, as well as strength associated with Shell Cordovan and horsehide in general.  However, it gains its supple flexibility and pull-up qualities from the Chromexcel tanning portion.  Unlike Shell Cordovan, where the best examples have a very glossy surface, North of Cordovan has a more versatile satin finish.  The result is a perfect blending of tough as nails durability, supreme comfort,  finish, and extraordinary beauty.  Perfection achieved.

Combine this leather with a meticulous example of hand saddle stitching, and you have an exceptional strap that also happens to be an incredible value based on the high cost of the leather itself.  If you covet truly rare and fine leathers, and seek those luxuries that not many others have - look no further.   It would be my pleasure to make one for you to wear and enjoy, but please know that supplies are limited.

Current specimens in all colors - Chocolate, Black, Oxblood, Limited Edition Burgundy, Limited Edition Cigar and Limited Edition Marine Blue are producing finished straps of approximately 4.5 - 5.0mm thick.  However, these can be thinned slightly upon request.

*Special Editions are straps that have undergone a special in-house treatment in order to achieve a desired look.

*Limited Editions are leathers that are unusually difficult to obtain due to their rarity.  This results in only a small number of straps that can be made.

4/24/13:  "Since I have to be one of the first to receive one of these straps, I felt the conviction to write and share a story at the same time.  I've been on the various watch forums for a long time.  Maybe as long as yourself.  Sadly, and with some embarrasment, I have to say it's taken me this long to order something from you.  That was my mistake - and it won't be repeated.  I have at least 25-30 other "custom" straps, none of which compare to what I just received from you.  I've been a shell cordovan "snob" for quite some time, and the special North of Cordovan you have is right up there with it - and it blows away everything else I have.  The leather is off the charts  stunning, and your craftsmanship is simply phenominal.  Your hand stitching and attention to detail is, without question, the best I've ever seen.  If people think you get what you pay for, you need to double your price right now (many think this way).  Thank you again for everything.  You've earned a customer for life and my only wish is that I would have ordered from you years ago."

Horween® Special Edition Chromexcel® ST
Natural Chromexcel is transformed through my own special treatments, offering a spectacular one-of-a-kind vintage look.

Horween's Natural Chromexcel leather is the foundation, then I go to work on making it truly unique.  Before the building process begins, the leather is lightly distressed to create the effect you see.  It almost looks like wood grain, yet you can't feel it.  Then, the entire surface is hand burnished.  If this step were not done, it would still look very nice - but it would be somewhat dull.  Now it has a rich, warm glow that's typically associated with a natural patina developed over time and wear.  It's a long process, but the result is outstanding!  This is yet another strap that will require zero break-in, and finishes out at approximately 4mm thick.

Oxblood

North of Cordovan Horsehide

Along with Burgundy, Oxblood has the most dramatic Pull-Up qualities within the five North of Cordovan family of leathers.  More vivid red tones are revealed in the break (bend), making this a truly stunning leather.  One of the finest anywhere at any price.

One might first think it is close to Chocolate, but they are significantly different from one another.

NEW!  Horween® Special Edition North of Cordovan Horsehide
50% Vintage + 50% Refined = 100% Perfection.  This is the Ultimate in Casual Elegance!

Like the standard model, Horween's amazing North of Cordovan Chromexcel horsehide remains as the foundation.  The difference with the Special Edition version is that the edges, both on the front and back perimeter, have been carefully distressed to offer a wonderful vintage look.    This allows for a more casual look, while maintaining this ultra refined leather as a base.

While it can be used on any watch, this wonderful strap was originally created to compliment today's Panerai line.  Just like the brand itself, it's a blending of vintage and new.  Old-school, but with a high level of finishing details.  It truly is the Ultimate in Vintage and Casual Elegance!

The Special Edition North of Cordovan is currently available in all colors:  Chocolate, Oxblood, Limited Edition Cigar, Limited Edition Burgundy, and Black.  The edge on Black isn't quite as dramatic, but it's definitely there.  A similar look can be also be achieved with Bourbon and Natural Chromexcel.

Suggested Guidelines for Selecting The Proper Length:

"Suggested" is the key word here.  Some may prefer a longer "tail" end of the strap, while others may want the buckle to sit more toward the inside of the wrist rather than in the center.  The chart below will help determine the minimum length to order for a proper fitment.  If you're unsure, just order the next longer size or give me a call and I'll be glad to help.  You wouldn't believe how much easier it is to add an extra hole, if necessary, as opposed to subtracting 10mm off a finished strap.  :-)
How To Place An Order and Delivery Times:

Domestic Clients Within The U.S.:

Quite honestly, I would much prefer a simple telephone call from clients within the U.S.  In a day and age when we rely on e-mails practically as much as oxygen itself?  Yes.  The two of us can discuss any questions you may have in far greater detail, we can cover every aspect of your handmade strap, and it's much more efficient.  Plus, frankly, one area that seems to effect delivery times from various strap makers is getting bogged down with e-mails.  I'd like to avoid that and offer you the very finest personalized service at the same time.  That said, if communicating by e-mail is more convenient for you, then by all means send me one.  I'll reply quickly and with all of the answers to any questions you may have.

Telephone Hours:

Monday - Friday:  9:00am - 8:00pm CST (Chicago)
          Saturday:  9:00am - 6:00pm CST
Sunday:  10:00am - 5:00pm CST

Phone:  (219) 309-9694

Voicemail:  24hrs a day, 7 days a week.  Simply leave your name and telephone number and in most cases I will have your call returned within minutes if it's during the hours above.

International Clients Outside The U.S.:

Of course, I don't expect our international friends to make an extra-long distance phone call - nor do I want possible language barriers hindering your order.  I can be e-mailed from any page on the Website by clicking on one of the Contact Me buttons.

Delivery Times:  Anything that is 100% crafted by human hands will require more time than something made on a machine.  However, my commitment to outstanding service does not end with your initial order. One thing I don't do is rush through in order to complete them, but at the same time I don't want to ask for unreasonable wait times.  Getting it right the first time is what we both want.  Times can vary based on the number of straps ahead of you, as well as their complexity.  I'll have an accurate completion date for you when your order is placed so you're not left to wonder.

This gorgeous leather offers a light golden brown base, with slightly darker browns mottled throughout.  It has a matte finish, and produces a streamlined 3.0mm finished strap.

Antique Maduro Calfskin, circa 1966
An Authentic Vintage 50 year old leather

This is the real deal.  Originally tanned in 1966, the distressing you see is natural.  So rare and unique, this leather is showcased with a minimalist hand tack stitch - and this is the only way it is available.  While the leather itself is strong, due to its age, the exterior will show wear from the buckle and everyday use, gaining character in the process.  If you want something that will not show that wear, consider the LE Chromexcel ST.

"Hello,

The strap arrived today and I am very pleased with it. The high quality of the leather and workmanship are very obvious.  I look forward to wearing the strap on my Omega Speedmaster.  Thank you for making this possible."

"Just a quick note to say how delighted I am with the two new straps which I've just received from you. Owning many straps, from many makers, I have to say that they represent great value for money and compare very favourably with straps from more expensive sources. Couple this with second-to-none customer service and you can't go far wrong. I'll certainly be back for more.  Thanks again for the great straps and customer service!"

"Hello,

I managed to pick up my new straps the other day.  Wonderful!  Both straps are as good as anyone could wish for - they look good, fit perfectly and are beautifully made.  To say I am pleased is a major understatement.  I have now fitted the Baseball and it looks terrific - makes it look as though I've got a completely new watch.  Keep up the good work and add me to your list of very satisfied customers.  Thank you so very much."

NEW!  Horween® Rare and Limited Edition North of Cordovan Horsehide Colors
Exceptionally rare colors that are available in limited quantities.

Cigar:  Cigar is a medium brown color that will reveal slightly lighter tones in a tight bend, such as the keepers or within the lug area.  It is has somewhat of a vintage look, but with a very high level of finishing details.  When working with this leather, I quickly discovered that its very neutral color encourages the use of virtually any stitch color.  Whether you want something traditional in an exquisite leather, or are willing to have some fun with color, Cigar is truly  the ultimate in refined vintage elegance!  Limit 2 per customer, please.

Burgundy:  This stunning leather shows more pronounced red tones than Oxblood, and the depth and richness of color is unsurpassed.  In my opinion, it's the benchmark of artistry when it comes to showcasing what Horween can do with leather.  Burgundy North of Cordovan reveals these more vivid red tones in a tight bend, such as the keepers or within the lug area.  In addition, it provides an incredibly handsome contrast against a black, brown, or white dial. Consider one for yourself while it's available.  Limit 2 per customer, please.

Marine Blue:  The description of this leather can be found by the finished straps below.

*Limited Editions are leathers that are unusually difficult to obtain due to their rarity.  This results in only a small number of straps that can be made.

Horween® Special Edition Urban Traveler
A smarter, more refined and upscale alternative to canvas.  Step it up.  You'll be glad you did.

The inspiration behind this strap was simple:  Develop a look similar to the nicer two-tone canvas messenger and laptop bags.  Just don't use canvas.

Many of these bags are visually terrific looking, combining lighter canvas within the body, then using a darker rich leather as an accent color on flaps, pockets, etc.  Pretty handsome looking, aren't they?  The only downside to canvas, in general, is that it always looks like a cost-cutting choice to full leather.  And what's the downside to canvas when used in a watch strap?  It absorbs perspiration and harbors bacteria like a sponge.  Sorry, but that's just the way it is.  Plus, there's just no romance, artistry, or pride in the making of canvas like there is in a high quality leather.

The alternative solution?  Use Horween calfskin as the foundation, then select a secondary color to be used as the keeper in the leather of your choice, as well as your favorite among any of the 16 different stitch colors.  Use North of Cordovan Horsehide, Genuine Chromexcel - or anything else you'd like.  The results will ooze casual sophistication and style, it should be more satisfying, certainly more luxurious, and potentially one-of-a-kind by your own design.  A few brief examples are shown below, but the sky's the limit in terms of the different color combinations available.  If you think you'd prefer something darker, ask for details about using Horween's Saddle Latigo as the base.

10/31/15: "The Way Straps Should Be Made"
"Early this year I made my 1st Europelli custom strap purchase, and since then I've added 8 more one-of-a-kind straps to my collection to date.  These straps are handmade in the Old-World American craftsman style using no machines and all done by hand with pride and care with amazing and unique results only found by Europelli.  There are many little touches aside from top quality materials that most wouldn't notice upon inspection, but cosmetically and structurally are purposely done for the wearer for many long years of enjoyment!  I've been collecting watches since 2004 and I've tried all the strap makers in the USA and "by far" Europelli straps is the king of the strap hill!"

Horween® Limited Edition Vintage Chromexcel® Saffiano
Refined Genuine Chromexcel tanning + a subtle micro-crosshatch + huge marbled color variation = The Most Anticipated Leather of the Year.

Is it a refined world-class leather?  Is it vintage?  It's both!  Horween's coveted Chromexcel leather serves as the foundation.  The original Saffiano micro-crosshatch texture was first developed by Mario Prada, but is used today by various haute couture houses and is traditionally reserved for their very finest leathers.  The color variation not only offers a wonderful true vintage look, it also guarantees each strap will be one-of-a-kind.  As if that weren't enough, the extremely subtle crosshatch pattern supplies just the right amount of added interest. The real character to this leather lies within its visual texture rather than its physical texture, while the reverse is true of the Natural Essex Saffiano.  Just like Cigar North of Cordovan, its neutral color provides the perfect backdrop for an array of different stitch colors.

If you enjoy a vintage look and feel to your fine leathers, and have grown tired of so-called "ammo" straps that all look like cousins to one another, then this is one you should consider while it's still available.  This is yet another strap that will require zero break-in, and finishes out at approximately 4mm thick.  The supply of this leather is very limited!
Horween® Limited Edition
Vintage Chromexcel Crosshatch

Personally, this rare and spectacular leather is the most anticipated of the year for me.  There are so many unique attributes combined into this one amazing hide.  Expect for it to develop a warm patina with time and wear, for it to be exceptionally supple, and for it to require zero break in.  After hand saddle stitching, a completed strap will be approximately 4mm thick.

Deep.  Dark.  Sophisticated.  That best describes these very rare specimens that I feel fortunate to have.

Are you the proud owner of a Panerai PAM 659, 690, or 689?  This offers the perfect combination of colors to compliment both your dial and the lume.

Maybe you just want something different and unique.  Something of exceptional quality that's still reasonably conservative.  Something that feels just as comfortable with a blue dress shirt as it does with your favorite pair of jeans.

Look no further.  This is it right here.

Horween® Natural Chromexcel

This wonderful leather is medium brown in color, and has slightly darker striations throughout.  Again, another hide that requires zero break in and is exceptionally supple.  Natural is a fine Pull-Up leather that will reveal lighter shades when stretched or pulled.  This leather will produce a finished strap of approximately 4.0-4.5mm
Horween® Dark Tan Chromexcel

This color is reminiscent of one you would see in a Tuscan villa.  Similar to that of the Natural Tan Baseball Glove, although the tanning method used here makes this one a more refined and exceptionally supple alternative.  It has a smooth matte finish with a magnificent feel of quality.  In addition, it will develop a warm patina with time and wear - which will only add to its depth of color and beauty.  Without question, one of the most comfortable leathers I've ever worked with.

Horween® Bourbon Chromexcel

Deep, rich, and elegantly vintage looking.  This wonderful leather will age to perfection while developing a warm patina with time and wear.  This leather is exceptionally supple, will require zero break in, and finishes out at approximately 4mm.
**Buckle and Lug screws/spring bars are under continual pressure and at a pivot point.  Therefore, they should be checked on a regular basis
to confirm their security.  Blue Loctite® or Permatex® threadlocker can also be used.
Horween® Rustico Mogano Chromexcel

Rustico Mogano Chromexcel is a slightly more casual version of Oxblood North of Cordovan.  It has a combination of red, brown, and black tones that make it extremely versatile.  Just a wonderful leather that will offer a handsome contrast against nearly any dial color.  You'll enjoy how supple this leather is, as well as its popular 4mm thickness.

Refined Horween® Essex Leather + The Legendary Saffiano Texture = A Stunning Combination

Horween's coveted Natural Essex leather serves as the foundation, but this one is particularly unique.  To begin, Essex is 100% vegetable tanned using the same blend of liquors and extracts as Genuine Shell Cordovan.  It is an extremely strong and durable leather, but one that is also supple due to it being enriched with oils during the tanning process.  The final stages include hand glazing and aniline finishing.

The original Saffiano micro-crosshatch texture was first developed by Mario Prada, but is used today by various haute couture houses and is traditionally reserved for their very finest leathers.  The Saffiano pattern is more pronounced here, as opposed to the Vintage version, yet without being overpowering or distracting.  In addition, its neutral Natural color provides the perfect backdrop for an array of different stitch colors.

This is yet another strap that will require zero break-in, and finishes out at 4mm thick, if not a fraction under that after being hand stitched.  The supply of this leather is exceptionally limited!

Classic Horween® Latigo Leather + This Classic Light Saddle Color = A Refined Casual Summertime Combination

Latigo leathers are made by many tanneries, but Horween has perfected their version.  It is combination tanned, fat liquored, mill dyed, and hand glazed.  It is absolutely beautiful in person, and one that will develop a rich golden patina with time and wear.  In other words, its depth of color and wonderful look will only increase with age.  If you like it now, you'll simply love it later.  If you don't want to wait, consider the Enhanced Patina version of this leather.  That desirable warm golden glow will be there waiting for you to enjoy on Day 1, and it was developed specifically to coordinate with the vintage lume found on the dials of many of today's watches.

In addition, this classic Light Saddle color provides the perfect backdrop for virtually any stitch color.

This is yet another strap that will require zero break-in, and finishes out at approximately 4mm thick.  The supply of this leather is exceptionally limited!

Exceptional Horween® Latigo Leather + This Wonderful Cognac Color = A Beautiful Combination For Nearly Any Dial Color or Occasion.

Latigo leathers are made by many tanneries, but Horween has perfected their version over the course of 5 generations.  It is combination tanned, fat liquored, infused with natural waxes and oils, mill dyed, and hand glazed.  Due to its elaborate and lengthy tanning process, it ranks among the most costly cow hides.  It is absolutely beautiful in person, very supple, smooth to the touch, and the single hide I have is nearly flawless.

In addition, this masculine Cognac color can either provide a terrific contrast to a black or white dial, or coordinate with tobacco/brown dials.

This strap will require very little break-in and finishes out at approximately 4 - 4.5mm thick.  The supply of this leather is exceptionally limited!
